The 2021 La Tour de Mons was picked from 28 September to 12 October, the first complete vintage undertaken by Marjolaine de Coninck and her team. Matured in 25% new oak, it has a fragrant bouquet, quite graceful and pure with seductive red brambly fruit laced with nuanced undergrowth aromas. The palate is elegant and poised with fine acidity, filigree tannins with a pure and caressing finish. This Margaux comes recommended. Lots of dark spices, this is attractive, juicy, not huge depth through the mid palate. Expect redcurrant and mirabelle plum notes, which means sweet but always with a remembrance of fresh acidities. Plenty Margaux character. First year where . They bought in February 2021. Gravel sand, can be stressful in very hot vintages. Harvest September 28 through to October 12. A 58ha vineyard now owned by Nathalie Perrodo, and the first vintage where technical director Marjolaine de Connick was able to really work the whole thing from beginning to end. 20ha of vines pulled up since the Perrodo purchase, 38hl/h yield.
