There is a little more volume of fruit in Lanessan than in some of its neighbouring properties, which is encouraging. While the finish is hard and a little unresolved, there is more than enough purity up front to give it a good chance to even out successfully. A successful effort, the 2021 Lanessan exhibits aromas of cassis, pencil shavings and loamy soil, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and supple palate that's fleshy and enveloping, framed by powdery tannins and bright acids.
