90 Merlot, 10 Cabernet Franc | 80% new oak | 13.65% alc | 3.64 pH VCM usually involves an awful lot more Cabernet Franc in its blend, but much of this production has been donated to its stablemate Le Dôme so that it can retain its 80% CF rule. This means that Vieux Château Mazerat will be a completely unique beast in 2021, and I am completely captivated by the results. This is another wine from the Maltus portfolio that packs in epic fruit quality balanced by superb, invigorating freshness and this balancing act makes it thrilling to taste.
