Of the nine reds we tasted from Faiveley the Corton was the most impressive. A really welcoming nose of ripe red berries and sweet spice. There's a hint of darker fruit on the palate. At this early stage it felt very harmonious. Will be very interesting to see how this progresses once in bottle. There's ample structure here but, of course, not as powerful as 2022 or 2023. One for medium-term cellaring? Impressive for the vintage nonetheless. Drinking range: 2029 - 2036 L&S (Nov 2025)

Here too the wood treatment is generous but not overwhelming on the aromas of spicy red currant, dark cherry and a much more subtle hint of the sauvage. There is excellent precision to the slightly bigger bodied flavors that are intensely mineral-driven, indeed the mouthfeel is akin to rolling a tiny pebble around the palate, all wrapped in a moderately austere and markedly more complex finale. Note that while this could be approached after only a few years of keeping, it’s sufficiently compact to need at least a decade to realize its full potential. Drinking range: 2034 - Rating: 91-94 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2026)
A crisper colour, a little more precision to the nose. Refined darker raspberry, this wine is in quite a different shape, much more structured, a darker fruit, a few more tannins, all building towards a complete whole. Drinking range: 2032 - 2037 Rating: 93 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy (Nov 2025)
