Nicely perfumed nose. Mostly ripe red-berried fruits. A touch of black cherry too. There's good grip on the palate. Acidity too. Finish is a little abrupt. Drinking range: 2027 - 2034 L&S (Nov 2025)

(from yields of only 8 hl/ha in 2024). Generous wood and mentholated top note are present on the fresh and bright aromas of mostly wild red berries and a whiff of humus-tinged earth. Another cheerful crimson colour, with a similar in-your-face soft plump fruit, some ripe cherry as well as strawberry. The Porrets has more structure than the village wine, with a suggestion of darker plum fruit behind, and good acidity. Domaine Faiveley
The Faiveley family are the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy, owning around 120ha, spread across the Côte de Nuits, Beaune and Chalonnaise and encompassing everything from generic Bourgogne up to the grandest of Grand Crus. Their holdings supply the grapes for 5 out of every 6 bottles made by Faiveley, the balance being bought in from carefully selected contract growers.
