Bottled from a solera they own at Fernando de Castilla, the NV La Bota de Palo Cortado 118 Pata de Gallina is perhaps a little older than the previous bottling, the 92 (and previously the 72 and 34). This is very expressive and clean, with more finesse and character, mixing salty and nutty sensations. The alcohol is very integrated (it's around 21%) and unnoticeable. It was bottled into 0.5-liter bottles, some 3,500 of them, in the summer of 2022. Drinking range: 2022 - 2035 Rating: 95 Luis Gutierrez, www.robertparker.com (Sept 2022)
