A beautiful, sunset pink colour. Aromas include a charming mix of fresh red fruits along with intriguing spice notes of anise and lavender. The palate has a creamy, round texture with refreshing redcurrent, raspberry and cherry flavours. Suggestions of brioche lead into an elegant, silky finish. L&S (May 2016)

We offer free nationwide delivery on all orders over £150 (excluding Highlands & Islands). Express Delivery options also available. The NV Brut Rosé is based on the 2014 vintage, bottled in March 2015 and disgorged in November 2018. Deep salmon in hue, it has an attractive nose of rose petals and peach skin and a touch of strawberry in the background. The palate is well balanced with good weight. This is no zen-like rosé; it demonstrates impressive density toward the finish, which just needs more delineation and cut. (November 2018 disgorgement) Drinking range: 2021 - 2029 Rating: 89 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Sept 2021)
Disgorged in September 2019, the Brut Rosé is a blend of the three classic Champagne varieties from West Sussex and Hampshire with 9g/L dosage. It has a lovely bouquet of strawberry, white flowers and a subtle marine influence, perhaps a touch of shucked oyster shell. It is certainly the best defined of Nyetimber's recent releases. The palate is pretty and open with good acidity, that marine theme continuing on an edgy, saline finish that lingers. This is a slightly more cerebral take on sparkling rosé. Drinking range: 2020 - 2031 Rating: 91 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Jul 2020)
A very pretty, slightly floral, red berry-scented and very assured pink sparkling wine from this prestigious English producer.Victoria Moore, The Daily Telegraph (Nov 2018)
Nyetimber
In 1988, as Lea & Sandeman was founded, the vines were being planted here in West Sussex. Few vineyards in England are better placed to exploit the similarity between the soils of the South Downs and those of the Champagne region in France than Nyetimber in West Sussex. But it took a couple from Chicago - Stuart and Sandy Moss - to bring the dream to life when they bought Nyetimber Manor in 1986. Vineyards followed from 1988 onwards, and the first vintage released was the 1992.
Nyetimber is now owned by Eric Heerema who already owned a vineyard in West Sussex when he bought Nyetimber in 2006 and had identified more land for planting. All were amalgamated into Nyetimber which now comprises some 350 acres, all planted to Chardonnay and the Pinots Noir and Meunier, making it at the time the biggest vineyard in England, and the first to use only these three Champagne varieties
Eric's greatest act was probably the hiring of married couple Cherie Spriggs and Brad Greatrex in 2007, who are both winemakers, with Cherie taking the 'head winemaker' role. The couple, who had tasted a bottle given to them by Cherie's parents and recognised the potential, have, as the Nytimber website puts it 'been integral to building Nyetimber into a sparkling wine producer that rivals the best in the world'.
Equinox English Sparkling | Mixed 6
The Spring Equinox English Sparkling Mixed Case: The New ClassicsThere is a sentimental magic to the Spring Equinox. It is the moment the earth shakes off the winter; the days stretch longer, the ground bubbles with life, and throughout the vineyards of England, it marks the official start of the growing season.
To celebrate the arrival of spring, we have gathered a 6-bottle case of the absolute finest English sparkling wines available.Driven by our cool climate and magnificent chalk soils, the best estates in the country are producing wines of such tension, complexity, and age-worthiness that they regularly vie with their counterparts in Champagne for the top rankings.
Winemakers here are no longer trying to copy Champagne; they are celebrating their own unique, wild terroir. Their fresh, crystalline profiles are the perfect antidote to the heavy wines of winter, capturing the brilliant, crisp energy of a spring morning.
What's Inside the Mixed Case:
2020 Trouble with Dreams, Sugrue: Crafted by Dermot Sugrue, this wine is bursting with soul and a gripping, mineral intensity.
2018 Rosé Ex Machina, Sugrue: Another magnificent creation from Dermot Sugrue, showcasing his absolute mastery of the South Downs.
NV Rosé Brut, Nyetimber: Nyetimber is one of the original visionaries of English sparkling wine, boldly planting the three classic Champagne varieties in West Sussex back in 1988. Their beautiful NV Rosé Brut offers a creamy, red-fruit profile with an edgy, saline finish.
2022 Brut, Herbert Hall: From a sunny, organic site in Marden, Kent, farmed by the Hall family for three generations. Uniquely, a portion of the blend is fermented in oak barrels, giving the wine a superb, gastronomic texture.
2022 Classic, Black Chalk: The brilliant Jacob Leadley works with the pure chalk of Hampshire's Test Valley to bring the best out of 34 different clones and rootstock combinations, creating focused, saline, and incredibly pure wines.
2021 Wild Rose, Black Chalk: This wine was awarded 95 Points and Best Sparkling Rosé at the last WineGB Awards.
With their bright, orchard-fruit profiles and lip-smacking freshness, these wines are the ultimate companion for the warmer spring days ahead.
