Lightness of touch, there's class and mineral lift here, it's an almost nervy wine despite the richness of the year. Nice juicy mineral succulence and long too. Drinking range: 2028 - 2040 L&S (Nov 2020)

Spicy aromas of dark raspberry, cherry and earth give way to impressively voluminous yet sleek middle weight flavors that display lovely delineation on the austere finish. This possesses good if not stunning length as it eventually falls off due to the fact that the tannins become a bit angular. With that said, I suspect that the overall sense of harmony will improve as the tannins resolve Drinking range: 2031 - Rating: 90-92 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2021)

Aromas of cassis, plums, orange rind and spicy new oak preface Faiveley's 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes, a medium to full-bodied, deep and lively wine with a concentrated core of fruit, framed by powdery tannins. Concluding with a long, mineral finish, it's another fine bottling from this cool, high-altitude and northeast-exposed site. Rating: 92-94 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2021)

A cooler site at the top of the hill, on sandy soil which fortunately does not appear to have dried out. Rich purple, lively, ripe cherry with a few raspberry infiltrations, Nicely proportioned oak. Tasted: November 2020 *** Rating: 90-93 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Jan 2021)
