Reticent on the nose, the palate seems to be a summary of all the Premiers Crus that have gone before it. Sleek and mineral and supple and full, the volume is controlled, the fruit restrained, the mineral giving support but not getting the upper hand, and a balancing acidity which brings total energetic harmony and makes it fascinating to explore and all but unspittable. Un petit Grand Cru' says Loïc.' L&S (Nov 2021)

Loïc calls this his "little Grand Cru", and that's easy to understand given its sublime finesse and layered complexity. It's sultry with aged red meat and iron overtones followed by black plums and black currants. The medium weight homes in on the mid-palate, and the overall balance is bewitchingly precise. The tannins feel like a velvet glove and the lilting acidity delivers mouth-watering lift through the lengthy finish. This hails from the heart of Lavaux. Drinking range: 2025 - 2038 Rating: 95 Christy Canterbury MW - TimAtkin.com (Feb 2022)

Unfurling in the glass with aromas of rose petals, rich berry fruit, plums, exotic spices, blood orange and vine smoke, the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques is full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a seamless profile, striking intensity and a long, perfumed finish. This is a vibrant, penetrating Lavaux Saint-Jacques that has resumed its position as the domaine's dominant premier cru. Rating: 94-96 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2022)

(vinified with 70% stems). A markedly more sauvage-inflected nose speaks mostly of earth and humus on the ripe dark berry fruit aromas. There is superb density to the powerful and palate drenching large-bodied flavors that also exude plenty of minerality on the explosively long, robust and vaguely rustic finish. This is exceptionally serious and will need ample time to achieve its full, and considerable, potential. Drinking range: 2037 - Rating: 93-95 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2022)
