Lea & Sandeman review

‘This is simply delicious. Achieving that perfect balance between weight and brightness that results in immense drinkability. Lovely clean attack with mineral zip and then pretty white blossom notes – and then you begin to sense the lovely waxy weight in the mid-palate and a super texture that satisfies perfectly – an ideal drinks party wine or a partner to a summer lunch in the garden, delicious.’ L&S

Fattoria di Magliano

Fattoria di Magliano is in the agricultural area of the Maremma on the southern coast of Tuscany, in the heart of the Morellino Doc. This is an eighty-five hectare farming estate of which thirty-seven were planted with vines in 1998 and after only two vintages making lovely wines which truly reflect the ‘terroir’ of the region.

All the vineyards are 120 metres above sea level and south facing towards the coast. In December 2004 the Poggio Bestiale from this estate was rated Italy’s best Tuscan wine under £20 in Decanter magazine.
