Louis Roederer Collection 242 – a new multi-vintage blend based on a perpetual reserve and 44% of reserve wines. This shift away from a NV blend may come as a bit of a shock to those that have been avid followers of the Brut Premier.
It’s the busiest moment of the year for our team as we try to help everyone get the right wines into their glasses as well as the perfect presents into people's stockings for Christmas.
This is a great opportunity to take advantage of our 12 bottle mixed case discount. You can buy a full case or 'mix and match' 12 or more bottles of wine (or 6 Champagne, Sparkling, Fortified or Spirits) to get our ' case price discount' on each bottle (prices marked in red).
Our very own Angus Barcroft was lucky enough to be granted a place on L'Academie du Champagne's summer course. This is no industry jolly. The week includes lectures led by the principals and winemakers of the sixteen member Houses covering all aspects of Champagne from viticulture to marketing.
Everyone likes to indulge in a special bottle or three over Christmas and the L&S team is no different. We've all squirrelled away something to savour and share with (appreciative!) friends and family. L&S Top Brass Charles Lea: I'm rather hoping to get a chance to raid the better end of my brother-in-law's cellar - the 2002 Vieux Château Certan was particularly memorable last time.

The trip comprised a diverse range of eager folk all involved in different areas of the wine trade.
We are delighted to offer one of our favourite Grande Marque Champagnes at a very special price until the end of September. Always elegant and fine, Taittinger is the perfect champagne to watch the sun set on summertime. Special Price per single bottle £31.95 - normally £39.
We know Champagne Barnaut well, it’s been on the LEA & SANDEMAN list for many years and is our regular recommendation for quality and value and the brand that, perhaps more than any other, illustrates just what good value ‘Grower’ Champagnes can be.
Louis Roederer is one of the very best of the Grande Marque Champagne producers. Perhaps most famous for its uber cuvée Cristal – the house’s real focus, however, is the Brut Premier. Made by the same team with the same principals in the cellar as its famous stablemate, this is a pure pleasure to drink.
It that's time of year again and Champagne is back on the list of essentials. We've added our best possible prices to certain Grandes Marques champagnes as well as on one of our favourite Grower Champagnes: Barnaut Grande Réserve Brut (just £22.95 in a six pack).
Louis Roederer is one of the largest remaining independent Champagne Houses, owned by the same family since it was founded in 1776, the same year that the USA was officially founded. The house is famous for making 'Cristal' - the highly demanded Super Cuvée - but the Brut Premier is their classic, non vintage blend and represents excellent quality in the slightly fuller, creamier style.
