After many years of loving the wines of the Northern Rh么ne (and placing many orders for them!) I excitedly boarded a plane to Lyon to make my way to the March茅 aux vins d'Ampuis (one of the largest wine fairs in France, focused entirely on the Rh么ne), at the epicentre of C么te-R么tie and Condrieu.

…for those who like refined Syrah that isn鈥檛 particularly high in alcohol, these are great wines, many of which drink well young on the youthful fruit, but will also age gracefully for ten years or more.
