Chambolle-Musigny

Quite firm and straight, this is on a red fruit expression, cherry and redcurrant, taut and bright.

A parcel of 34 year old vines on a site which Justine decided looked specially good this year, so it has been vinified separately.

Still the density and concentration of the vintage, but within that a lovely purity of cherry-bright focus and great fruit succulence.

Part of Beaux Bruns is Premier Cru, so this is close - on clay, a richer palate than Thibault's 'Vieilles Vignes' cuvée.

Fully-formed and this now really singing of Chambolle with floral notes and red berry lift - very Chambolle in texture, gliding silkily and long.
