Albariño

The legend says that Albariño was brought to Galicia by monks in the 12th Century and is none other than the noble Riesling. It isn’t, but the name Alba (white) Riño (Rhine) lives up to the story. The crisp aromatic style has become very popular in recent years and has driven a renaissance of interest in Spanish white wines. Also known, in Portugal, as Alvarhino.
